There’s something about being a mom that really makes me have a newfound appreciation for my own parents, you know what I mean? I love my daughter so much and it’s hard for me to imagine what I put my parents through at the end of the day so I try to be the best child I can be to them now that they’re older. I got them a high speed internet provider for their laptop since they’re constantly out in the car looking at stuff. I know they like real estate but is it normal to spend entire weekends out and about looking at open houses and dealing with realtors that aren’t even yours? I love their house and they say they do too so I just don’t see the point in getting in the car and driving around neighborhoods all the time but hey, that’s just me. I guess if that’s the hobby they’ve taken up at this age that’s what they’re going to do, you know? There’s something to be said for that!

My husband and I went for service one morning, we took a break together with some friends for coffee and that’s how we found this Filipino restaurant. We were excited to try their food. The old lady was so nice and she even gave me some free food. Since then we’ve been going to this restaurant if we crave for Filipino cooking. Their barbecue is so good and I love their monggo beans soup too. Well, I have to say that my husband is impressed with their cooking and he can’t get enough of them. We have several options for turo2x restaurants here in our place and we love it because we have choices to whichever Filipino restaurants we may feel like going to.

We missed the car show

My husband is a mechanic and obviously he loves cars but so doesn't my son. Son acquired his passion from his dad. Just recently the county hosted a car show at the convention center and it’s just a drive away from our location. However, we didn’t know the full details of the show and unfortunately we missed it. We found out about it when it was shown on the local news. They showed some really classic cars and I’m sure my boys will be stunned to see them in person. It looks like they went all out because I noticed the trade show flooring had recently been replaced by trade show carpet. The exhibit booths look much nicer now and I'm sure it makes a long day of standing for the workers seem more comfortable.

As a matter of fact, there were a few logo mats placed in various spots on the floor when I seen a local news reporter was delivering the news. I love carpets because they beautify the floor and it adds accents to the living room, bedroom or even in the kitchen floor. And that’s one of the reasons why I put focus on the flooring wherever I go to any of the trade shows. Anyway, when my son learned that the car show was over he felt sad. I reassured him that we will make it up to go to the car show next time.

I am so impressed from nowadays technology. Every information’s is just a click away. For as long as you have your own computer or you know how to use computer you will learn a lot from everything. I remember during my high school and college days, we have limited access and knowledge about computer and when doing a research we have to do it manually through publications at the library. However, in this time and age where technology and social networking are booming, many people including younger ones were depending on the computer. Children nowadays do their research online for a certain subject and some may even have participated in a social networking that contributes information about your research. In other words it’s an online digital library.

The Educational Digital Materials Library or the so called EduBrary is one of the social networking that provides many kinds of study materials for students just like libraries does. How I wish that this Edu Brary existed during my school days. I would’ve used their service to help me excel academically and earn the highest grade I could possibly get. I must say, they have the best platform for students out there who wants to be excellent in school. Just for your information, with their platform one has the capability to look for hundreds of thousands of viewable/downloadable educational related digital documents that available in the Library and get priceless information through them.

Kids were having their lunch while I was doing my work online and all of a sudden my husband called my attention. I stood up and this was the scene, fried rice shower. I was a little bit upset with what I saw but instead I took a deep breathe to calm down. My husband was amused because he rarely sees this kind of situation and said to me, take a picture of her. Instead of getting mad, we just laughed at it. Gladly, my husband had the initiative to go ahead and clean her up. I hope this won’t happen again, crossing my fingers.

I’ve never use Walgreens pharmacy for prescription medicines yet but I would like to join in their Walgreens Prescription Savings Club to be able to save some money. I think it’s very inconvenient for most of the patients under Express Scripts because they had to travel afar to get their prescription. They have to look for the pharmacies within the Express Scripts network, patients of course aren’t happy about the new change.

Luckily, Walgreens created a program that would help many customers/patients to avail their savings and prescription discounts using their Prescription Savings Club. With their program, we can get some discounts from 8,000 brand-names and all generic prescriptions, pet medications, flu shots, nebulizers and diabetic supplies. How to join? Pay $10 annual fee membership and that’s for the entire immediate family or $5 for individual year membership fee. I think it’s pretty much affordable. This is insanely unbelievable! You’ve got to see it to believe. I am a person that loves to shop for great deals. I have my own favorite store where I can buy all kinds of clothes from Men, Women, and children to newborn and not only that, that’s where I usually buy my home decorations stuff like that. I rarely shop online because I think I can get cheaper products in-store than online. But that is going to change because after I found out about nomorerack.com I was stunned. My husband, kids and I went to downtown San Diego at the Embarcadero Bay, a few days ago to see all kinds of ships (Pirate ships and old Submarines) ducked recently. It was my first time to actually go into the Maritime Museum and I am telling you, I was so thrilled by it. I never thought I would be able to see how the submarine looks like inside personally. Those subs were used during the wars in the early times and to actually step on/in it was incredibly amazing. It was definitely part of the American History and accordingly, it will be sunk sometime of this year. Anyway, we saw cruise ships ready to depart and my husband said he’ll take us on cruise one of these days. Hopefully in a couple of months we can make it happen. I can’t wait because I will have my new toy then. I am so excited!

My husband’s website gained page ranks and he was so surprised upon knowing it because he rarely updates his websites. He then remembered that he participated on the free link exchange several months ago and he thought that was probably one of the reasons “why and how” he earned unexpected ranks on his websites. Well, I couldn't think of any reasons on how he got those ranks aside from what he just told me about the link exchange thing. I know for sure that exchanging links can make a huge difference into someone’s blog or websites, so, that’s definitely how he got those ranks.

I should probably do the same thing too. I know a website that offers free link exchange and that’s none other than the FreeLinkBuildingTools. I like this new show called Pan Am. It is so fun to watch on Direct TV because of all the costumes and sets and cars and every little detail down to the kind of cigarettes they smoke is straight out of the sixties. I love watching the show just to see what outfits they will wear this week. The other thing that I find so fascinating about this show is how the characters look at things. There are things that we would not think twice about but back then they were a really huge deal. Like when the daughter breaks down in tears in her wedding dress on the floor before she is about to walk down the aisle. She decides that she doesn’t really want to get married and she wants to run off to join the stewardesses on Pan Am instead. Her mother is horrified that she would want to go work instead of staying home and getting married. This cracks me up because these days mothers would rather their children go off to work or better yet college straight out of high school instead of getting married so young.

This is one of the reasons why I love my iPhone because obviously it takes really good photos. It can focus onto the subject and even though the resolution isn’t that much I still think and I’m sure many of you out there will agree that the photo is nicely taken. I guess I’m also proud of it because I was the one who took it. I’ve tried many phones out there but it doesn’t really take good photos like the iPhone does. My dslr was gone but my iPhone kind of like, fills in the blank/hole. Well, nothing can beat dslr though and I hope I will get a new one soon. Other than that, I love all the photos taken by my iPhone.

The newest addition

Meet my brand-new nephew Xian. He is wearing one of the baby boy blankets I sent for him. He looks so comfortable in his wraparound baby blanket . He’s actually a few months old now and he is a chunky little boy. His feature looks more of like his dad. I am so glad that he was able to benefit from my son’s outgrown baby stuff. I gave my siblings all the baby clothes that my children have had outgrown which includes onesies, overall clothes, blankets and I even gave them some of my children’s very special knitting baby blankets that was only worn by them a several times and etc.

I really can’t wait to see my niece and nephews in person. They were all born in the Philippines and I am thousands of miles away from them. I only see them online when my siblings and I are chatting and skyping. Our clan is definitely growing and I hope that sooner or later cousins will meet each other and get to know more each other. It will be so exciting for us to see our children playing together and laughing at each other just like we did when we were younger.

I have to say that my children are book lovers. I got them used to reading books ever since they were little and I think it helped them a lot to appreciate the value of books. We have all kinds of books from many different book publishers on our bookshelves and most of them were given to us by very good friends. They’re all children’s books. My children usually pick the book they want me to read them for the next day. Now that my 5 year old son just started to learn how to read, I find it so amusing to see him reading some books. I must say that all the efforts I have instilled in them is starting to pay off.

I want my children to love books because I never did when I was a child and even up to this point, I would rather listen than read. I find it so boring. Thus, I don’t want my children to be like me in that manner, I want them to become book lovers because through reading they will learn a lot of vocabularies and they’ll be able to use it as they grow up. I rarely read books but I'm fascinated with people who love books.

I spoke to my childhood friend who recently resides in Iligan City, a few minutes ago. I am so thankful to hear from her and that they are safe and sound. She told me, the flash flood came around 2 am and they were all asleep when all of a sudden they heard people screaming from outside. She was in shock mode after she and her husband saw the flood. She said, the current was so strong and she thought she won’t be able to make it alive, good thing her husband was alert and pulled her out to safety. They lost all their belongings except for themselves. She, her family and I were so thankful that they’re alive. However, many of their friends have lost their homes but they were thankful they survived from the storm sendong. She said that their beautiful City was totally destroyed by the typhoon Sendong.

Dream house

Buying our dream house would be our next goal. My husband and I thought about this for a very long time now and I guess this is the time for us to start looking for our dream house. We are already getting tired of our place right now and we want something new. Our children are growing and we want them to have their own bedrooms. They just can’t share bedrooms forever because they eventually want to have their own privacy. Whenever that happens, one thing that I would like to have is the home insurance; I know that there are many home insurance providers out there but I will have to thoroughly search for the right one that fits our budget. I know someone in UK; I met her through a social networking site. I believed she and her husband just bought their dream house and I bet she has home and contents insurance because as far as I know, she is a type of a person who is so meticulous when it comes to insurance thing, because she wants to protect her home from any disaster or harmful elements. She loves doing interior design and she recently shared some photos of her daughter’s bedroom. She is so creative and I love her daughter’s bedroom, every thing is pink and she has this beautiful princess-like bed. It made me want to have it for my daughter too, but I don’t think I can because first of all, we only have two bedrooms in our apartment. My children share’s bedroom together and it would be unfair for my son if I will design the bedroom into a girl’s theme, when in fact she has to share it with him. Maybe in the future when we have our own house, I will surely beautify my children’s bedroom into their choice of theme.

I have an online friend who took the ski class a few days ago and she was saying it was fun. It was her first time to ski and she said that her body felt sore afterwards. She shared some photos of her skiing and it looks interesting, it made me want to ski as well. Well, if we can make it to Big Bear this year for a snow adventure together with our friend and her family, I might try this skiing sports. My friend said that the body sore that she has was worth it because she enjoyed skiing that day. I don’t know whether she make it the next day for her ski class or not, I hope she’s ok. I would really love to ski someday; I think this would be very interesting sports. I’m sure my husband would love to do it as well. So exciting!

Daughter's pj tonight

That’s my toddler. She’s getting big and she knows how to pick for her outfits of the day. Tonight, after I bathe her, she went straight to her drawer to get the pj’s she’ll wear tonight (photo above). I’m glad I have bunch of pj and sleepwear for my daughter that was given to me by a very good friend. I have a lot of hand-me-down clothes and I am so thankful for that. Children do grow up so quickly, and buying clothes wouldn’t make sense to me when somebody has offered my kids some outgrown clothes from their children.

Every time I stopped by at my favorite store, I can’t help myself but to take a glance at the cutest girls pajamas & sleepwear hanging on the children’s clothing-lines. I really want to buy even just for one set for my daughter. That’s the one of my weaknesses; whenever I go shopping I get crazy. Most of the time I ended up leaving the store with a bag full of clothes. I love shopping especially when I get an excellent deal.

Obviously my family is starting to get hooked with the wii game just by looking at their facial expression. Early this morning, my husband turned the wii on to try and play the new game I bought. Before my husband bought the Sony VAIO laptop, he tried to restore my Acer laptop several times but to no avail. He uncovers the laptop to check the circuit board and flexible PCB inside. He tried to connect the wirings that he believed was the problem and obviously it didn’t fix the problem at all. Eventually he gave up and decides to get a new one, which is the Sony VAIO laptop that we have right now. We are happy with our purchase and hopefully this will last us for many years. The Acer laptop that we used to have lasted only 2 years and unfortunately, we didn’t insure it and it will cost us a lot of money if have it fix. We thought might as well get a new one than relying on something that we’re not even sure how long it will last us if we get it fixed.

I bought this Zumba wii and still I’m not able to do the zumba dance often than I should. She grew up without her biological family

I have a cousin in Melbourne, Australia who is a half Australian and half Filipino in blood. She grew up without her mom (she died when she was still a few years old), without a sibling because she was sent to Australia at a very young age. She didn’t even grow up with her own dad. She pretty much stayed with her dad’s relatives. Now that she and her sibling have grown up they started communicating to each other and her sibling thought of staying with her in Australia. I think it’s about them for them to build a relationship because they never had that opportunity when they were still little. They were separated at a very young age. My cousin who is in the Philippines was telling me that she was looking for a place to stay in Australia. Started yesterday morning the weather had been so freezing. I walked my son to school yesterday and it was really cold. The weather forecast said that we are experiencing the so called froze-snap. The plants weren’t that frozen in our area but in the west side of the county, for sure they’re experiencing colder weather than we do. It’s not even official winter yet but we are already getting this winter like weather, how much more when the winter has arrived. As we walked to school, I smell burning woods. Majority of the fireplace were on the time of the year. Heater is a must now-a-days.

Every one of us has our own dream house. I have a nice dream house pictured in my mind a long time ago and I would really love to have it soon. My husband and I thought about buying a home in my hometown in the near future. We need to save money to be able to get it. If you go to the SeaWorld this time of the year, you will be able to see all kinds of cartoon characters & animal mascots wandering inside the SeaWorld. I don’t know what you call that mascot in the photo above; I just took a picture of my son, hubby and him for fun. My daughter was actually scared and hides in her stroller when she saw the mascot. We have to visit again soon before the end of this year because our membership will expire already. We have to renew it next year as soon as we get our tax refund.

I have a toddler and she loves to touch and taste everything she sees. I love decorating our home and I buy all kinds of stuff to beautify our home. I have decorative Mini Glass Gems - Ruby Red & Sunshine Yellow in my living room. Some of it I placed it in my bathroom and the rest were inside the flower base. One morning, my daughter went inside the bathroom without my knowledge and she messes up my pebbles. I was so upset and afraid because she put some in her mouth. Gladly, I was able to get it out before she swallowed it. I do love my pebbles though but I have to make sure to keep them away from my daughter before something happens. Once my daughter gets a little bigger and knows what’s not to touch in our home, that’s probably be a good time for me to bring those pebbles back down again on my table.

While online the other day, I noticed an ad for a toy my son listed on his Christmas Wish List. I’ve been looking all over for this toy and been unable to find it in stock in any of our local stores. I don’t typically shop online; I prefer to buy what I want in person. I like to see what I am getting and I like to get the item when I pay for it. In this case, with Christmas approaching quickly and the toy nowhere to be found, I didn’t feel like I had a choice. This toy was at the top of his wish list and I would have felt like a real scrooge if Santa didn’t have it under the tree. So I clicked on the ad only to be taken to the website for one of my local stores. Here’s my princess, she growing like weeds. I feels like, I just had her yesterday. I love playing dress-up with her and taking pictures of her, but sometimes she gets frustrated and whines over it. I hired a secretary

Well, I am so busy lately that I wasn’t able to update my blogs and write my sponsored post (they're all piling up). I felt bad but I can’t do them all, so, I decided to hire a secretary. I was watching discovery channel and they were previewing the beautiful tropical island in Hawaii. It reminds me of my very good friend who taught me how to drive a car. She and her husband went to Hawaii a few years ago and they stayed in Oahu Island. She told me that Oahu is a beautiful place and that’s the most popular island in Hawaii. Waikiki beach is located in that Island. She said that many tourists never failed to visit that island whenever they go to Hawaii. I thought, oahu real estate business must be doing great. I’m sure a lot of people are specifically buying some properties in that island compared to the rest of the Island in Hawaii.

If you were to ask me, what island I would rather choose if I’m given the chance to stay in Hawaii? I will surely say “Oahu”. As far as I know, that’s one of the most famous places in Hawaii, and I believe that the biggest city which is Honolulu is located at the southeastern shore of Oahu where higher populations are found. I bet there are a lot of Filipinos in Oahu. I actually have some online friends in that Island; I wish I could visit them in the future.

I am looking at the Polish Goose Down Comforters (photo above) at the Egyptian Linens Outlet website and I can just imagine how cozy these comforters would be just by looking at it. It makes me want to jump on that bed and cuddle on it. I wish I can afford to buy at least one of these luxurious comforters right now. He is actually collecting some nice bed linens and I really don’t mind him purchasing this kind because I love it too.

This kind of comforter is perfect for winter; it’ll keep us nice and warm for sure. I wonder if it comes with different colors aside from white. Because we have two little children (2 and 5 years old) and it’s difficult for us to keep white linens clean. They always come to our bed and play. They’ve already stained some of our bed sheets and pillow cases, so, I don’t think I can afford to get white linens and later on I find out that they’ve messed it up too. It’s hard to keep things clean and pure white as it is, knowing that there are little mischievous surround us.

I am sick

It’s the time of the year where most of the people here in America get sick during this season and there is no exemption of me. Flu shots were actually required but I didn’t get it thinking that I don’t need it. I guess I was wrong; my immune system is weak because the virus caught me quickly. I should take antioxidant supplement to help my body fight against diseases. I woke up this morning with bad sore throat and I checked my first aid container, I couldn’t see any sore throat medicine. I remember before when I had the same issue, the doctor told me to gurgle some warm water with salt in it coz it’s kill the bacteria, which I did. In fairness, it helped a lot. What a relief! I hope I won’t have any flu symptoms because I really don’t want to get sick. This afternoon, I was just laying down trying to nap but with my children around, it was impossible. I feel throwing up though and I was sick in my stomach. Oh boy!

I checked my website’s page rank and I noticed that some of my ranks went down. I wonder why. I think it’s about time to work on my backlinks before I lose every page ranks I have because it’ll only means that I won’t be getting opportunities anymore if I don’t have them. I should do some research about website benchmarking and backlink analysis and see how these can help my page rank problems. I know for sure that the more backlinks I get the more chances of getting better page rank.

Rare dollar bill

I checked the mails we received today and one of the mails caught my attention and I hastily opened it because it came from the U.S. Government. As I opened it, I saw a letter asking me to do a survey for them about the child care stuff, as I opened more of the enveloped I saw a $2 bill enclosed. At first I thought it was a scam and gave me a counterfeit dollar bill. I haven’t seen $2 in one bill before that’s why I doubted and thought it was fake money and beside it was so crisp like it just came out from the printing machine, so there’s way this was real. I took a picture of it and posted it on my Facebook wall in hopes to get enlightenment whether this money is real or not. Thankfully some of my friends and relatives commented and attested that this is a true and rare dollar bill. They said that they have one or two and they saved it because it’s rare. I thought, this is really cool, I will save this too and hopefully I’ll get more of this.

Biggest surprise Oprah gave to her audiences

During the last season of the Oprah show I pretty much watched every episode I can. It was really exciting because it was during that season when she gave all kinds of surprises to her audiences (studio and home viewers). As home viewers we received a FREE meal coupon for KFC and it was cool because I was able to received one of her surprises. Studio audiences were luckier than the home viewers because they were able to get all kinds of free stuff from home appliances, clothing, electronics, and kitchenware to a FREE vacation that includes pocket money and accommodations.

Hundreds of her studio audiences were able to avail the 8 days trip to Australia. It was amazing because it was Pilot John Travolta who flew them to Australia. They got the best treat ever. They showed what places they visited and I believe they took a Trip to Blue Mountains where they took advantaged of the beautiful breathtaking nature. She also paid a surprised home visit to one of her loyal fan in Australia and dines with her family. They did a lot of amazing tours in Australia. I wish I was one of those lucky studio audiences who were able to benefit from the free Australia vacation. Oprah is the best because she’s the only person who can afford to give those kinds of treats to her loyal followers.

I love it when I’m driving behind-the-wheels alone because I can take control over the kind of music I want to play while heading to my destination. I love to listen to acoustic songs, R&B’s and country songs. I’m not really fan of rap music but do listen sometimes selectively. I was driving this morning to my son’s school while listening to the FM station, they were playing love songs but right before I get off the van, they played the “Great Expectation” rap music and I listen to it because I like the voice of the singer. He sounds like a kid.

As soon as I got home from school, I searched online about the artist who sang that song “Great Expectation”. I was right, he’s just a kid and his name is diggy simmons. He has great voice, a good rapper and he’ll definitely improve more as he grows in the music industry. I believe his father is one of the founding members of the hip hop group known as Run-D.M.C. and his father is also a Reverend. Diggy Simmons has just started in this business and he wants to establish his own name. You should listen to his music and rap along with him.

I actually have a lot of favorite photos of my children but those photos above were at the top of my lists. I can’t forget the first day when my son saw his little sissy, he was so happy and you can tell it from his face just by looking at the first photo. My children’s argues at times but at the end of the day they’ll show their love and affection towards at each other. They love so much and they’re best of friends. My family knows that I really want to work abroad and to be able to do that I would have to have a medical career. I was told that I will have more chances to get hired abroad if I have the health care profession. Usually, employers abroad are looking for employees who are licensed nurse, physical therapist, medical assistant or even licensed caregiver. So, it’s very important for me to enroll at any of those medical courses I’ve mentioned above. It took time for me to decide whether or not I will take such course for it cost a lot of money. I ended up taking none of those courses; however, after I graduated from my bachelor’s degree course, I decided to take another vocational course, which was the care-giving course.

I find care-giving course a very interesting program and that’s how I learned a lot about medical stuff. I learned first aid and assessing CPR to patients. I also learned the basics about physical therapy and one of our physical therapist instructors told us that Physical Therapy is very in-demand abroad and they make good money. I was convinced and I thought I should become one someday. I read an article about physical therapy that includes information about physical therapy billing software, and its environment as well as patients. Well, I’ve been to one of the physical therapy clinics here in our place, my husband went for a couple of session after he had his knee surgery and the therapists were pretty much devoted to their patients and their career. I want to experience the kind of career they have.

She gave me copies

My husband’s co-worker who is Filipina made friends with me. It was so nice of her to take the initiative to walk up to me and say hi. She probably saw me shying away from her that’s why she said hi to me first. We exchanged conversation and we asked what province we’re from in the Philippines. To make the long story short, she learned that I was planning to get a drivers license. She asked me whether I’ve already taken the written test and I told her I haven’t because I’m scared I might fail. She encouraged me to take it as soon as possible and she even reassured me that I will pass it.

She gave me a bunch of test papers from years ago and told me to study them because the questions are similar to the questionnaires that she gave me. I had to take it to the nearest office depot to use their photo copier machine to make my own personal copies of it so I can give the papers back to my husband’s co-worker. I think I photo copied 20 pages of papers and they’re not ordinary papers too. I believe they were using konica minolta bizhub c451 toner cartridge for that machine because the prints were so clear and clean. Anyway, I studied those 20 pages and I passed the written test. Thanks to my husband’s co-worker, she was such a great help.

Our kitchen electric aid

I have a white food processor manufactured by cuisinart and so far my husband and I love it. It includes chopping blade, slicing and shredding disk as well as dough blade. Although we’ve had it for years now but we’ve only used it several times yet. My husband loves to minced garlic in it. By the way, it also comes with blender jar that has two different cup or lid, whatever you call it. I was thinking though, if in case we were to get some cuisinart parts for this food processor and blender attachment I would probably get it at thegourmetdepot.com because they specialized in the kitchen stuff.

Now that our big oven is working, my husband and I started baking food. He bakes cookies, bread and sometimes for our meals. We plan on purchasing a stand mixer for mixing dough. Our food processor doesn’t really do well in mixing dough that’s why we want to get a mixing tool separately. I am actually looking at the West Bend 12-speed stand mixer and I am thinking this might be a good option to have if not the brand KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer. But I have to check cuisinart if they have stand mixer first before going to a different brands. We’ll see!

He remember his friends

I was driving my husband to work one day when all of sudden he said that he kind of misses his old folks and the whereabouts of his step brothers as well as his former friends back in Massachusetts. He said he heard that his foster parents passed away and some of his step siblings were still in Massachusetts. He told me that it’ll be nice for us to visit the place where he grew up someday. I asked him when he can take us over there and what is their to see? He said that we can stay at a Cape Cod rental because it’s the best place in Massachusetts that he can think of.

He told me that his friends took him to Cape Cod one day and they fished along the beach. According to him, Cape Cod is known for its white sandy beaches and huge clams. My husband said that the best time to visit over there is summer. I asked my husband about how the town looks like and he said normally houses over there are old fashioned. It’s perfect for historical sightseeing and gift shopping. I asked my husband what where they doing in Cape Cod and he said they just want to see the place and they had to drive 6 hours from their home to Cape Cod. I told him, wow, thats kind of far. It’s like driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco. He said it’s worth the drive.

I told my husband to listen to the live audio stream radio station from my hometown because I will send my greeting to him. He was excited and thrilled about it. I felt bad though because he was supposed to take a nap because he’ll work overtime for the graveyard shift tonight but he stayed up just to listen to it. After that he didn’t sleep anymore. Anyway, as soon as the program was on-air I asked the anchorman to greet my husband a happy listening and he was laughing when he first heard his name on the radio. The anchors were teasing his/our last name and my husband was laughing about it too. Since our dialect has similarity with Spanish, my husband understands what they were talking about. It was fun, I always have fun listening to this station because it’s live from my hometown and I’m sure those people who still remembers my name and who happens to be listening to the station they’ll know some updates about my whereabouts.

Watching local news

Sometimes I avoid watching any kinds of news because it’s really heartbreaking to hear bad news. It lingers in my thoughts and sometimes I cringe thinking that the world is getting most awful than before. There are a lot of people suffering from injustices and all kinds of sicknesses. One of the news that broke my heart today is an infant suffering from a very serious disease. It’s a life threatening disease that needs special and immediate care. The baby is actually in an ICU. The parents were asking for some financial support for their sick child. It was hard for me to see and I actually had tears in my eyes. I can’t help but cry.

The baby isn’t mine and I cried, how much more the parents? They must be devastated seeing their baby suffering so young. Gladly the parents were able to get some help from a charity program. The charity is similar to a timeshare charitable trust where they sought timeshare donations from people and pass it onto families who has an ailing child to give them timeshare relief while they were tending their sick kid with their special needs. I can’t imagine myself becoming strong just like the parent’s I’ve seen on the local news, seeing one member of my family is fighting for life. It must be hard.

Out in service this morning

Its cloudy and nippy today but that didn’t give us the reason to stop going out in service this morning. I planned to go out door to door today and work with a sister. My husband, daughter and I along with the sister worked together this morning. I thought the sister won’t show up, so I asked my husband if we can work together but the sister came late so we ended up working the 4 of us (3 adult and 1 toddler). It was our first time to work with the sister and she was fun. All along I thought she’s Mexican but I found out that she’s from Nicaragua. They do speak Spanish though but with different accent.

We shared some experiences and traditions while we’re doing our door to door service. One of the houses we knocked on wasn't home so we walked onto another house. My friend and I were talking about the legal system in america. I can remember last year my husband got a letter saying he had to go for jury duty. He was on a trial case and he was telling me how amazed how efficient court reporting has become these days. It's very important that a court reporter maintain an accurate record of word to word transcripts of conversations, legal proceedings or other kinds of meetings so that they can be used as legally binding evidence. I'm sure those people who trained to be a court reporter are very highly skilled, professional at what they do and they probably are screened for accuracy and speed.

I went to the Filipino store yesterday and I was overjoyed when I saw fresh horseradish leaves for sale. I normally buy the frozen ones because they’re inexpensive and I can always freeze it when it’s not ready for use yet. But as soon as I saw the price $3.47, I stopped and think. I thought it was so expensive for a fresh one, so, I put it back down onto its shelf because I didn’t want to spend that much when I know there are cheaper out there, never mind. Anyway, I wish we have backyard that way I can plant this kind of vegetable.

Our sons graduation party

Our son just turned five years old last week and he's really growing up to be tall like my husband. My gosh I can't believe how fast the years have flown by. It seems just like just the other day that our son was learning how to talk. Now he's in kindergarten. He graduated from pre-school this year and so to celebrate his special graduation day my husband and I set out to create a graduation party for him that he can remember. A lot of planning went into this party so we had to shop around town for a party supply store. My husband found a couple of stores in town that specialized in kids birthday party supplies but also party supplies for all kinds of occasions. Being that this would be the first of many graduation party's for our first child, we went a little overboard in the amount of money we spent and actually didn't use everything we purchased.

The theme of my son's first graduation party was the "Thomas the tank engine" . We bought him a motorized thomas friends tank engine complete with track set to add to his other collection of track and trains. My husband bought some party poppers that make noise when you pull the string and I bought some colored confetti, thomas ballons filled with helium.

They’re annoying me right now

My kids are getting into my nerves right now. I’m trying to do my work and trying to put my thoughts into words but they’re too loud, arguing with each other. I just want to get my things done because I am so tired and exhausted but with my children being so uncooperative nothing seems to get done on time. I had to yell at them to get their attention. Oh boy! I wish I have my own office where I can lock the door and no one can bother me. It’s not easy to become parents especially when you don’t get some help from anybody when your partner is at work. I can’t rest when they’re awake because they’ll get in trouble if I don’t keep my eyes on them. They play with each other but it won’t take long they’ll fight over something. Ugh!

Workaholic

I get upset when my husband works too much. He is workaholic person and sometimes he works overtime consecutively which bothers me a lot. I hate it when he comes home from work and complains about back pain, I do not really hate the fact that he’s suffering from any kinds of pain but what I hate is when he doesn’t listen to me. I don’t want him to work overtime when it’s not necessary because he’s not getting any younger and he doesn’t have the energy that the younger adult has anymore. He needs to listen to his body and get more rest than working too hard. I feared that he might develop some serious back problem like herniated disk illnesses.

I know a friend whose husband have had serious back problem and he’s not even allowed to work like he used to anymore because it may cause him to get paralyze. It’s sad to know that as we get older we develop all kinds’ pains and our body deteriorates gradually. I heard that herniated disk treatment includes prescription medication, physical therapy and if it doesn’t work either way they’ll pursue into surgery. The kind of job that my husband has is more likely to develop back pain problem. He’s a bus mechanic and they do a lot of bending down and working overtime is not helping his health issue for sure.

I just hung up the phone about 15 minutes ago after speaking to our close friends; we actually consider them as our spiritual parents even though they are just friends. We don’t go to the same congregation now that’s why we don’t see each them anymore but it’s so nice to hear from them when they call us. They were asking us how our life has been and how’s our children doing. I had them speak to my children because I know they miss them a lot. Anyway, I think our close friends husband is trying to get rid of some of his outgrown long-sleeve dress shirts and dress pants and he wants to give it to my husband. Her husband is as tall as my husband is and he used to be a plus size man but after he found out that he has diabetes he changed his lifestyle for the better and lost weight.

He gave most of his clothing to my husband. When it comes to hand-me-down clothes my husband doesn’t mind accepting them as long as it's tall mens clothing because he’s a tall man and it’ll be useless for him to accept clothes that are not in his size. Well, I can always send them to my relatives back in the Philippines because they will be more than happy to accept it and if it’s a little bigger then their size, they can always have it altered whenever they want to.

My comfort food

These are my comfort foods; I can live eating the same foods every other day. I cooked pancit canton and fried some of my dried fishes and dried squid for lunch the other day. I ate a lot of rice at that time; I pig-in like I’ve never eaten the whole week. LOL! Who will resist this kind of meal anyway? In fairness, my husband and children loved my pancit canton. They didn’t join me eating my fried dried stuff though because they think it’s yucky. If you will have me choose which one I will eat between the fried chicken and fried dried fish, well, no doubt I will choose the photo above (dried fish and squid). Anyway, if you think it looks good, you must think it’s tasty too and that's only if you are Filipinos like me who can totally relate to my cravings.

Real Housewives

I find the Real Housewives reality TV series show so interesting that I found myself watching its series. Sometimes I watched the marathon of the Real Housewives and I am entertained by it. This afternoon I watched the Real Housewives in New Jersey and there were all kinds of drama going on in the show, families who were involved in family feuds were trying to fix their family differences. Siblings along with their own families were gathered together for a family picture. They had their family picture at the house of so and so and the portrait came out very nice. They pose in front of the nicest Marble Fireplace I’ve ever seen. Well, wealthy people can really buy anything they want. One of the housewives said that she’s living in a life where it’s only a dream for some people. Lucky her!

What I learned about their show today was when one of the housewives said “friends come and go BUT family stays forever” which is true because no matter how families argued or fight with each other and sometimes gets to the point where they hate each other, but at the end of the day it’s the immediate family are the ones that sticks to each other and defend for each other. I truly believe in the saying that says “blood is thicker than water”.

It’s windy today and cold. It’s weird because yesterday it was really warm. I feel bad because I had my son worn his summer clothes for school today thinking that it would be warm like yesterday but I was wrong. Anyway, it’s cold, cloudy and gloomy, it affects my mood. I don’t feel like doing anything except for lying on the couch and watch TV. While watching TV I thought about our tax refund for this year. My husband didn’t work the whole year and we’re pretty much aware of our refund. It won’t be as much as we got last year, it’ll still be good money though. I hope that the IRS won’t make any changes that will affect our tax refund.

We’ll find out about this once we talk to our tax preparer. I know she’s busy right now. As far as I know tax preparer take the yearly seminars or course to get the latest update about IRS new policy or whatever they may have. She probably purchased enrolled agents study guide handbook for her personal reference. I remember our previous tax preparer that happens to be a close friend of ours would tell us that she needs to enroll to so and so program to be able to pass the exam and still have her license. I don’t know how things work for them but I know they’re job is not easy.

I may not be in the Philippines to attend the high school Alumni events but I surely availed the Alumni T-shirt. As soon as I received it, I wore it and took a picture of myself. I shared it on my facebook and as soon as my high school friends saw the picture, they sent me messages. They thought I’m in the Philippines and they want to see me. I was laughing. I told them that I wasn’t in the place where they thought I was at. I actually had my mom order it for me in the Philippines and since my aunt from Texas went to the Philippines for vacation, I asked her to bring the goodies for me. I could’ve told my mom to mail it to me but it’ll take forever to get here and besides I feared to lose it if it’s done by mail. My aunt brought it here for me and it only take days to get here. Thanks to my aunt and my mom.

To keep them quiet

My children are annoying sometimes and it’s hard to keep them quiet especially when it’s already late at night, they make too much noise. But there’s one thing that will keep them calm down and that’s none other than scaring them with a monster masks. I told my husband that we need to wear a scary looking mask that way they will behave, my husband agreed on it, so, we bought one the following day. Unfortunately, when we bought the mask it was far before the Halloween so there’s no way we can find any ugly and scary looking mask. We ended up buying a monkey mask. However, it was still a scary looking mask.

After I bought it, I hid it in our closet so my children won’t see it. Whenever they get so loud at night, I hastily run into our closet and wear the mask to scare them. It works pretty well; it helped me a lot when it comes to keeping my children’s voices down especially when it’s already late at night. I scared them only a few times though because I felt guilty. They look so scared and they don’t even want to be in their bedroom alone anymore, so, I gave in and showed it to them. I told them it’s just a toy and it’s not real and there’s no monster. I don’t want them to have a nightmare because of my action. Gladly, they believed me and since then, they learned to play with it. Whenever they’re loud and I want them to keep quiet, I just asked them nicely and they’ll listen and obey without having to scare them with anything anymore.

She was fortunate

Our former Filipino neighbor was so fortunate enough that she was able to get a medical billing consulting job right after she finished her schooling. She said that it didn’t take long for her for get hired on that position because at that time the medical facility where she sent her application was looking for a replacement to their employee, I guess the employee signed a resignation paper when she happened to submit her application form. It was during the economic recession when she got the employment. The fact that there were poor employment at that time and many people got laid off, but then she got the job quicker than she thought, was really amazing.

I asked her about the course that she took and she told me that she went to an adult school and took the medical billing course for less than a year. I thought to myself, well, it was easier for her to go to school despite of having 3 young children because her parents were the ones taking care of her children while she goes to school and I don’t have anybody to rely on when it comes to babysitting my children. We can’t afford to pay a babysitter knowing that there’s only one income in our household. I guess whenever my parents are already here in the United States then I can go to school. I would love to take medical billing course. We’ll see!

Busy day for me today

Tomorrow is back to school for my son. He had great fall vacation and he is excited to go back to school too. I have a lot of things to do today and I can’t be lying on my back to relax because I don’t have time for it. If I do, nothing gets done and I don’t want to be behind my chores for it’s going to be a headache if I don’t do them. I had to take care of my laundry to make sure that my son has clothes for school and vacuum the floor. I think it’s been a week already since the last time I clean my carpet. I also have a lot of writings to do and I am so thankful for that because it only means one thing, I will have good paychecks next month. My only problem now is to come up with unique thoughts to put into words. I know I will be once again tired and exhausted at the end of the day but at least I know for sure that it’ll be a productive day for me.

Higher education online

The internet has really come a long way these days to make peoples lives easier and simpler to manage. Just think that with a simple click of a mouse button, you can order just about anything you can imagine online with a computer without ever having to step a foot outside your front door. From online banking to designing a home, it can all be done online. Another thing that has been made easier for us is getting an online education such as a degree without having to get into our car and drive to a campus or university. There are many people these days who live busy lives and don't have the time to drive to a university and that where Walden University's online degree program can come in handy.

I have a friend that enrolled in an online university but I'm not sure which one it was. I would like to work in the medical field as an office worker such as administrative work, medical billing or coding but I need to go to school to get some education. Another great thing about enrolling in an online university is that I can work at my own pace and not have to rush like in a regular classroom. I looked at this WaldenU.edu website but couldn't find exactly the courses that I would like to take. I might have to call them to Learn about walden university's programs to get a better idea exactly what they have.

Bonding with my kids

A few days ago, I asked my husband if he wouldn’t mind me taking the van, which he agreed without second thought. I had to drive and run some errands. It was actually not an important errand; I went shopping with my children. Well, first of all, I drove them to McDonald where there’s an indoor playground for lunch. We stayed there for an hour and my kids were able to mingle with the other kids that were playing as well. The restaurant was kind of busy and looks like the big bosses were there because I’ve seen some of the executives were standing by the door and welcoming all their customers coming in.

So, my children were playing and there was a boy wearing pants similar to the medical scrubs uniform I’ve seen at the pediatrician’s clinic worn by some of the male and female nurses. I think it was dickies because I recognized the logo. I was going to ask his mom where she bought her son’s pants because I was looking for that kind of pants for my son’s school uniform. I know the brand dickies are of quality and I want it for my son. I will try and check if the scrubs website http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/ has it. But anyway, an hour later after we had our lunch we left and the group of executive personnel was still there talking while documenting over something. They sat on the chairs but they weren’t even eating. They probably had some meetings with the management regarding the restaurant. Who knows, they might be talking about how to improve the restaurant or something like that.

This is really cool. A huge picture puzzle found at seaworld. If you have been to California SeaWorld and you watched the Blue Horizon show or the dolphin show you must have seen this photo just right outside the stage. Or you might probably missed it because even myself, I’ve been to SeaWorld several times already but only yesterday I was able to put focus on this picture. I didn’t realize that there were tiny pictures in this billboard aside from the picture seen from afar. It’s really cool. The tiny pictures were photos of the many different marine life found at SeaWorld and their audiences too. It’s mesmerizing.

Anyone who owns a computer printer can tell you that when your computer screen pops up a message that says your color ink is running low and you will need to replace it soon, it's not a good feeling. For me, when that message shows up on my screen, I just want to cringe because I know it's just a matter of time before I will have to open up my wallet and drop down some hard earned money I don't have to pay for another ink cartridge. I hate it because ink can be so expensive these days. I used to have an old HP inkjet printer but it stopped working so when my husband bought me a new Nikon d60 DSLR camera, it came with a free Cannon inkjet printer. We like the printer but we use a lot of ink and it cost a lot of money. It's too bad we don't live in Australia because we could save money on Canon ink cartridges and enjoy free delivery.

I can remember one time when our family was going to go to legoland but we had to print out the tickets online and the computer screen popped up a message saying that it couldn't print out the tickets because the printer ran out of ink. We had a credit card but it was for a particular store and we had to buy the Canon ink cartridges at that store at a cost much higher than we would normally pay for in a bargain store. I've heard of these online stores that sell recycled ink cartridges but I've never used them before. I've heard that they are much cheaper in cost than what you would normally pay for for a brand name cartridge.

Isn’t she gorgeous, beautiful and sexy? She sure is. I love her beauty and the calmness attitude that she possess. Honestly speaking, sometimes I watch The Kardasian show marathon. I’m not saying that I am a die hard fan of them; I just love watching their show once in awhile whenever I get the chance to sit down and watch TV. My children take over the TV most of the time, so, my husband and I barely get the chance to watch our TV shows. Anyways, one of the Kardasian’s episodes that I can remember about Kourtney was when her husband asked her about when she had her breast implant.

She was so bold about her cosmetic surgery procedure. She wasn’t hiding the fact that she had breast implant done. I’m not sure though whether she had Breast Augmentation Miami or somewhere else. I'm just fascinated about her possitive attitude, unlike some other celebrities, they’re not upfront when it comes to their cosmetic procedures and they are ashamed of telling the truth. There was also an intrigued about Kim on that episode; many people were saying that her bottom was also implanted by silicon or something like that. So, the 3 sister’s went to the cosmetic surgeon to prove people that their sister Kim never had any cosmetic surgery done. They surely proved people that the gossip about Kim was false and untrue.

I can’t log-in to my Inboxdollar account. I forgot my password and requested to change my password but I’m not getting the email that they said they’ve sent me. They said that the email they sent me will expire within 24 hours, how can I ever follow some instruction for my password retrieval if I’m not getting the email they sent me? I want to check my earnings, I’m sure it’s up for redemption now. Oh my! I don’t want to lose my earnings because I’ve worked hard for it for months and I don’t want my efforts to go wasted. I checked my bulk it’s not even there. Yay! Even though I don’t check and confirm my inboxdollar messages as often I should, but whenever I get the chance to do them all, I make sure I finished what I had started on very that same day. I attended her wedding

I was invited when my college friend's wedding. We were friends in college and she’s also my co-worker, she was the one who recommended me to work in the office where she’s working at and I was hired before of her recommendation. She married her long time boyfriend and they were so involved in preparing for their wedding. They didn’t hire any wedding planner or something like that because she wants to do it herself. She even told me where she bought her wedding and engagement rings. She showed me the Cheap Engagement Rings store; according to her I might need it in the future. I haven’t met my husband at that time yet so I wasn’t really thinking about it.

I am so happy for my friend because it was her dream to marry her long time boyfriend and it came true. Even though I’m not part of her entourage I was happy because I witness her big and memorable special day. I remember that day, I watched her walking down the aisle at the reception and I was thinking and hoping to find my soul mate, settle down and have kids at that time. Well, years later I found my prince charming and he proposed for marriage and now we have two beautiful children. My dream came true.

Expanding their shop

My husband is working for the public transportation company here in our place. He is a bus mechanic by the way. He said that their company is getting bigger; they actually bought the storage rooms next to their shop to expand their workplace. I’ve seen his workplace and it’s huge, they’re also expanding the maintenance shop and I heard they are going to move the office building to the other side of the shop. So, pretty much the middle area of their shop will be the spaces for their busses. According to my husband, the MTS Company is getting 30 more brand new buses sometime next year of 2012.

My husband said if not because of the Maintenance Management Software it’ll be hard to manage the company that he works for because it’s complicated. Just by managing the parts necessities for fixing the buses is already confusing, how much more managing for the entire company that includes employees and etc. I think it’s very important for the companies whether small or big to have the best and reliable maintenance management software that way it’ll take most of the loads to the employees who are in-charged of the management.

The second day of the month of October is almost over and in less than a week my son will turn 5 years old. He is getting taller and taller. He’s a good looking boy and we are so proud of him for he is doing well in school. He is learning a lot of things and improving so well. When it comes to social interaction, I think he is getting better at it. He is a sweet and loving person; he always reminds us that he loves us so much as well as his little sissy. We are definitely proud parents of two. We are so grateful for our children; we know that they’ll grow so fast and that we have to take advantage of the precious time with them while they’re still young. Sometimes I want them to grow up already so they’re independent but then I thought it’ll be hard for us knowing that they will leave us and have their own family then. Oh boy, I’m going to miss their childhood years when they’re already independent. I love my children so much!

Complaining Wife

I know it sounds like I’m complaining but ever since we got DIREC TV I feel like all my husband does is watch sports. He just sits in front of the TV all day and switches from game to game and since it’s the weekend I really want to spend time with him since I haven’t gotten to see him all week! The kids are always running around and sometimes he actually misses their real life baseball and soccer games so he can watch one on TV – I just don’t think that’s right and I’ve told him so. I know it sounds like I’m being a nag but I really think that this has gone on long enough. I mean, football season isn’t all that short when you think about it and as soon as that’s over the baseball starts up so there’s got to be an end to it somewhere, you know? He can’t go on living like this and I don’t even feel like we’re much of a family the way we are!

Laid off :(

I personally know a friend who sought some professional help from a Debt Collections counselor. They were having hard time paying off their bills because her husband got laid off from work. They feared that they will lose everything they have because they don’t have income coming in. She tried to look for a job to somehow help them financially but for some reason she couldn’t get employment. She said that at some point of their economic crisis, they were getting phone calls from their debtors, nagging them to pay their dues. They often ignore the calls because they don’t have any money to pay anyways.

Fortunately, she has some friends who have knowledge about debt consolidation and they were also given some advice about the harassing phone calls that they were getting from their collectors, which helped them a lot mentally. I can’t imagine how stressful they were dealing with their financial problems. Gladly, they were able to get through it and manage their debts somehow. Now, their slowly going back on track and hopefully they’ll have peace of mind. What I learned from her experience is that we need calm down (I know it’s easier said than done) and seek professional help because there are help out there that we might not know of.

OMG! Plumber to the rescue

It was a full week when we ignored the running water in our toilet. We knew there was a problem to it but we were lazy to address the issue right there and then. Now, we are suffering from the consequences of our actions. I hate to say it but our water bill went up so high, it doubled the amount that we normally pay for every other month. Just before we received the water bill, we decided to call our landlord and told him about our toilet problem. It took him days to come and check it. He even tried to fix it but since there was a problem with the parts, he wasn’t able to fix it. He called the professional plumber and since then our toilet problem was solved. I don’t know why we had to wait for over a week to have it fix, or we could’ve just turned the water off, so we won’t misused the water, but we didn’t. Such a fool idea gave us headaches, because now, we have to pay more than our maximum bill.

There’s always an issue whenever a beauty queen who is representing the country is not fluent in English, especially in the Philippines. Critics would say that these beauty queens need to have a translator with them during the question and answer portion, that way they’ll be able to give the answer correctly. I don’t want to name names but I’m pretty sure that many Filipinos know who those beauty queens who were being mocked at because of their verbal grammatical errors and of their so called “over-confidence in speaking English”. They hardly realized that their grammars were already incorrect.

They really need to hire a professional translator from a legal translation agency for their own benefit as well as their countrymen. Because these beauty queens are carrying the countries names, you know what I mean? A beauty queen's role is very hard, they’re modeling for the next generation and they have to have a positive outlook in life and they need to avoid ruining their reputation while they are still in contract. In fairness to the Philippine’s beauty queen representative, they have more advantage when it comes to language (English) fluency because it’s actually the third language in the Philippines compared to other nationalities worldwide. We were taught English in our schools from primary school to colleges.

I spoke to my cousin online last night and she shared me a headline news story of a Filipina who was killed by her American husband. This incident happened recently and I believe they’re from Florida. This woman has a 3 year old daughter from her previous relationship. She met this guy online and gradually they fell in love with each other like everyone else. There was a huge gap of age between this couple the guy was 77 years old and she was 20 years old, a total of 57 age gap. They're married for less than a year. She arrived in America last year (November 2010) and tied the knot the following month. But I guess age doesn’t really matter unless there was a bad intention of her marrying the guy. It’s up to you to judge their relationship. Anyway, I think the guy was so insecure about himself and maybe there’s a third party involved or whatsoever that this killing had to happened. Kindly watch the video for you to be able to know the whole story. By the way, I was bothered by the parent’s inclination. I kept on hearing about the possible inheritance that their grandchild might have granted by the stepfather…. Does it sound odd to you? Mole removed

I went to my Podiatrist a month ago and had my heel checked. She then noticed my mole on my foot and questioned me about it. I told her it used to be a tiny dot but I recently noticed that it was getting bigger and wider. She referred me to a dermatologist because she wants me to find out whether it's benign or cancerous. I had my appointment this morning with the dermatologist; he checked my mole using his magnifying glass and took a picture of it. He asked me when did I noticed that the mole was changing it’s size and I told him I don’t really pay attention to it so I can’t tell him exactly when it had gotten this big. He said it looks benign to him and he goes “if it bothers you I will remove it”. It took awhile for me to decide and I eventually said yes. I’ll be sore for 3 weeks and hopefully it wont get any infection or something like that because I can’t afford to not to walk because I have to pick up my son from school every day.

The other day when I went to my friends house to do our bible study I took my children with me and my son always want's to play with his friends microscope because he likes looking at really small things in his friends microscope. When my son asked his friend if he could play with the microscope, his friend told him it was broken. My son was so disappointed. I told my son that if he is a good boy, we will buy him a brand new one that he can use at home. I asked my friend what was broken on his son's microscope and my friend said is was the eyepiece lens. She said she had to order some new microscope parts for it and they won't arrive till next week. We want our son to learn as much as he can and have fun doing it and I can see he will have a lot of fun learning about all kinds of small things that the naked eye can't normally see.

When I was going to school one of the required course subjects we had to enroll in was science and what science room is not complete without the compound microscope. It's a normal part of the modern day science room. I can remember many times looking into the eyepiece of my microscope and being amazed at the organisms found in simple things like our blood or other parts of our body. People in medical research normally use microscopes daily to look at different kinds of bacteria, algae, human and animal cells to create medicines that will make us people healthy. Without the use of a microscope, medical personal could not be able to find cures for the many diseases that exists in our world.

There are a lot of ways to get money these days. There are many financial institutions who give cash the next or same day as the applicant is approved and qualified for his/her financial application. In the country where I grew up with, lending money is very common especially to all businessmen. For instance, some of my relatives in the Philippines are businessman and they often apply for title loans or car title loans to get a huge amount of money. The money they get is used for investments.

My parents are independent businessman and before I came here in the United States I used to go with them to a lending corporation. They lend money for their investment and they pay everyday. It was hard because they had to work hard to keep up with their bills. Whenever they applied for title loan, they always get approved. We earned our college degrees because of their hard work and whatever achievement we may have right now that’s because of our parents sweat. We are proud that our parents sent us all to school. Anyhow, my parents are still doing the same business but they don’t lend money anymore because we their children support them morally, physically and even financially.

Weird weather

Globally, our weather has become so weird. In the Philippines, you won’t even know when the rainy season is because it’s all year long. My family back home told me that they rain most of the time. They get a lot of tropical storms each year and flooding is the main problem in that country. Anyway, since it’s raining a lot over there, my mom ask me some favor if I could get them nice coats or jackets. I have a few Plus Size Coats for her and I bought quality jackets for my brother and father. I’m sure they will love this because they’re brand names. I got them really cheap!

I’m still searching for rainsuits/raincoats particularly pants because my brother requested me to get it for him. He said that he works outdoor most of the time and he hates to get rained on. I hope I can find it soon so I can mark it “done” in my lists. I can’t wait to send these boxes soon. I know they will love all my goodies for them. Their wish is my command! I’m generous when it comes to family because it makes me happy when they’re happy with the things I gave them.

I have to thank my husband for helping me with my online assignments. He knows that I have so many tasks to write (some of them were already due) and he knows that I’m trying my best to keep up but because of the schedule and conflict that has been going on with me in taking care of everything at home including my children; I just don’t have enough time to do 'em all. I don’t want them to expire and so my husband offered me some help to write some of them before he goes to work today, which he did. I don’t want to get fired from my advertisers because of not doing my job and I don't want them to think that I'm hoarding my tasks either, so, I really appreciate his help. He’s the best hubby in the world :D

Drug addiction and rehab

It seems like many people in this world are really having a hard time dealing with everyday life. My husband always tells me that he's noticed an increase of people resorting to using drugs to try to escape their personal problems but him and I both know that this kind of behavior does not address the underlying problem. I think it starts with the person having a lack of self worthiness or having a lack of purpose in life. Before I met my husband, he said that he had a troubled past and resorted to using drugs. He said that doing drugs helped to make his problems disappear or made him forget them when he used. He grew up in a foster family with 5 brothers and all of them used drugs and alcohol since they were young. Most people start using drugs and alcohol occasionally which is a voluntary decision. However, the more people use, the more they become addicted.

Addiction is a disease of the body and mind. As the addiction grows they end up becoming a compulsive user, dependent and addicted. My husband said that the use of drugs over time ruined his life and his health. He told me he knew he had a problem and wanted to seek professional help in a drug rehab program but because the addiction was so strong and the availability to get his drug of choice was so easy, he couldn't bring himself to check in to a program. When he moved to California, he learned about methamphetamine's and it's popularity. To make a long story short, he got in trouble driving a car while using crystal one night and ended up going to jail. He was ordered to enroll in the California "Crash" drug rehab program in golden hill. He stayed there for seven months and today he is a different person. Thanks to drug rehab he now has his life back with two beautiful children and a lovely wife. If you know someone who has a drug problem, please seek help for them.

She’ll be in preschool next year

Yes! I will be sending my daughter to preschool sometime next year. She’s only 2 but we can all tell that she is so ready to go to school. She got jealous when she can’t go inside her brother’s classroom and she’ll fuss about it all day long. She learned to talk earlier than her brother and she knows her ABC’s (alphabet songs) and she can count from 1-20 too. She's really advanced for her age. I’m trying to teach her shapes and colors now. She loves books; she and her brother would always ask me to read them some books. This will be exciting for all of us because we will have two children going to school.

I already know what to expect in preschool because my son had been there, I even volunteered ones in awhile. I know what the teachers supplies and preschool supplies were because I’ve seen them already. I never send my children to daycare, so I’m not quite sure how daycare works. But one thing I am certain with is the daycare supplies they’re probably similar to preschool supplies. Basically, preschoolers are focused on their social skills unlike kindergarten. I can’t wait to see my daughter going to school next year.

She hates wearing diaper

My daughter is in the stage where she starts disliking diapers. I take her to the bathroom and potty train but she doesn’t like it either. I get frustrated sometimes because she doesn’t care getting scolded from her behavior. Well, what else can I expect from a toddler? It makes me physically and mentally exhausted when she takes her soiled diaper off even if she only peed on it ones. She wasted too many diapers. However, I came up with temporary solution and that’s letting her wear jumpsuits. She can’t stick her hands inside her diaper and she’ can’t take it off. I hope that she’ll get over this stage so we can all move on.

Moving-in & moving-out

For the last 5 years of staying in our apartment complex, we have seen so many tenants coming-in and moving-out and what bothers me is that they don’t even stay and last that long like we do. I don’t know if they have some problems with the management. I’m not certain whether they moved-out of their apartments because they can no longer afford their rent, or because they have some issues with our neighborhood. I’m just concerned and curious! Well, we do have some minor issues in our apartment but everything is manageable.

Although, we’ve mentioned to our landlord that we want to have carpet replacement because it’s been here since we moved-in but they ignored our appeal. We heard our new neighbor complained about their tub, I guess the water is leaking and I learned the landlord called for mold repair a few days ago. Hopefully everything is fixed so our neighbor who became close to us already will not move-out. So anyway, I was reading an article about water damage houston and I thought about the recent hurricane that struck the eastern part of the America, I’m just wondering how many people went through water damage problem and how many people have lost their homes. Sad!

I will definitely try their service as soon as we finish our contract with our present cell phone provider. Few of the things that I like about TracFone is their “pay as you go online cards” and it’s available at thousands of retails stores across the country as well as the “double minutes for the life of my phone”. Another thing also is that I can call my family internationally at a very low cost. With their 200 minutes plan for only $30 I think its reasonable price. I want to try their service!

Grunion run

This was the reason why I ruined my DSLR. It was grunion run week and we want to experience how it’s like. We packed and dressed my kids nice and warm. We stayed at the beach until midnight. Our children were complaining at that time because they were already sleepy and we haven’t seen any grunion yet. It was disappointing because we not only got nothing at that night but I also ruined my dslr with salt water. The water was calm when all of a sudden the wave came to us and unfortunately I got my camera soaked and wet with salt water. It wasn’t fun at all, it was devastating experienced.

Doctor’s appointment

We went to my husband’s doctor’s appointment this morning and while waiting for him to be seen, my daughter was grabbing all the publications and magazines that she can possibly see on the table. It was embarrassing because even those magazines that patients in the waiting area were reading, she wants to get it from them too. What a silly kid we have. Of course we told her told her to be nice and stop what she’s been doing. Anyhow, one of the magazines that she piled up on my lap was about the San Antonio Cosmetic Dentistry and it made me think about my dental problem.

I’ve read some of the article about the San Antonio Texas Dentist who is so gentle to his patients. How I wish I live in Texas and see that same dentist. I really want to have a smile makeover. It’s been awhile that I haven’t showed my so called beautiful smile because of my missing teeth. It’s depressing that up to this time I haven’t got the chance to make an appointment to my dentists. I am desperate for smile makeover. I really can’t hide my missing teeth because they’re visible to people’s eye, even my 4 year old son can noticed it and starts asking questions about it. So embarrassing!
