This was taken over a years ago. Wow! Has it been that long already? It feels like it was just yesterday when we went for road trip to San Francisco. It was a fun trip and it was our first time to go for a road trip as well. 8 hours drive from our location to our destination. Anyway, Alcatraz is one of the main tourist spot in San Francisco. I believe we paid $40 something per adult and I can’t remember if we paid for the kids or not. The cruise was worth it. I highly recommend everyone to visit this island if you happened to go visit San Francisco. Alcatraz is part of the America’s history. This was the place where America’s most wanted and notorious criminals were imprisoned. It was so interesting to know that prisoners tried to escape from the island but because of the currents and waves no one survives the escaped. But majority of those who tried to escape were captured by authorities. Maximum supervision here was mandatory. If you love history, I suggest you to research about this place and learn more about the prisoners and how they were being treated. I have to say that we will definitely go back to this place the next time we visit San Francisco.

That's right in my backyard (well, almost!). SF Bay has the best shades of blues. Glad you had fun on your trip!

I think I saw this place on tv once and learned something about it. It sounds like a very interesting place to explore and learn history. Visiting via TT. A late one!
