This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’ve never use Walgreens pharmacy for prescription medicines yet but I would like to join in their Walgreens Prescription Savings Club to be able to save some money. I heard that there was an issue about Walgreens and Express Script program recently which affected many customers/patients who were subscribers of the Express Scripts plan. Well, as far as I know Walgreens and Express Scripts are no longer affiliated for their contract expired a month ago and the recent negotiation weren’t agreed from both parties which cause the contract to end. Anyhow, I feel sad to those patients who are under Express Scripts plan because they have to withdraw their prescription records to Walgreens Pharmacy just to accommodate the Express Scripts new policy. I think it’s very inconvenient for most of the patients under Express Scripts because they had to travel afar to get their prescription. They have to look for the pharmacies within the Express Scripts network, patients of course aren’t happy about the new change.
Luckily, Walgreens created a program that would help many customers/patients to avail their savings and prescription discounts using their Prescription Savings Club. With their program, we can get some discounts from 8,000 brand-names and all generic prescriptions, pet medications, flu shots, nebulizers and diabetic supplies. How to join? Pay $10 annual fee membership and that’s for the entire immediate family or $5 for individual year membership fee. I think it’s pretty much affordable. You can check and follow them at Walgreens on Twitter and Walgreens on Facebook for their latest updates. Let’s all support Walgreens because many people can and will benefit from this program.
